Three Reactors Melted Down
It’s official! TEPCO have now stated that three of the reactors at Fukushima melted down. Of course we have been saying that four of them went into meltdown for the past two months now but it has taken them that long to admit to the world what we knew all along. They are still projecting that it will take upto 9 months before they get things under control at the facility. That number has been solid for the past 6 weeks. The truth is that it only provides enough time for the cores to melt their way through the earths crust back to the mantle. They don’t actually know how long it will take to get there though.
And we can see that the Northern Hemisphere continues to fill up with cancer causing radionuclides. Many of them have not been created since the Earth was formed over 3.5 billion years ago. The potential for damage that the radioactive elements can cause is unprecedented. Apart from the damage to human health and the food chain across the globe that will result from the continuing exposure to unprecedented amounts of radionuclides, they will literally change our DNA over the coming years.
