Thorium in China

RT are reporting on the Chinese push towards Thorium over Uranium/Plutonium. As discussed previously the Thorium option is significantly less dangerous than the existing nuclear power infrastructure. Thorium is abundant and there is enough material available to provide thousands of years of constant supply. The only problem is that it can’t be used for nuclear weapons proliferation which means the military industrial complex is not interested in pursuing it when they have the option of getting more bang for their buck out of the existing Uranium/Plutonium solution.
